How I work

Defined scope, fixed price, code that's yours.

I work alone and I'm accountable for the whole project. That's why the rules are written in the quote, before anything starts.

The steps

  1. Call

A 30-minute call to understand what you need, for whom and by when. If I'm not the right person, I tell you straight away.

  2. Written quote

A quote with a defined scope: what is included, what is not, timeline, price and what I need from you. The price is fixed on that scope.

  3. Build with previews

I work on a staging environment: every step has a preview link you can open and comment on.

  4. Launch

I put the project live on your accounts, with error monitoring switched on.

  5. 30-day warranty

For 30 days after go-live I fix bugs free of charge, meaning any behaviour that differs from what the quote describes. New features and changes are not covered.

  6. Maintenance, if you want it

After the warranty, maintenance is optional: updates, monitoring and small fixes, quoted separately.

The terms

  • One person accountable

You talk to the person who writes the code. Front end, back end and infrastructure: no hand-offs.

  • Defined scope

The quote says what is included and what is not. No open-ended projects.

  • Fixed price

The price covers the scope of the quote and doesn't change while I work.

  • Your code, your repository

Ownership of the code and the right to use it pass to you when the final installment is paid.

  • Hosting in your name

Hosting, domain and repository are registered in your name: you set them up, with my help, and give me the access I need.

  • Changes billed at cost

Anything beyond the quote is quoted separately and billed on actual time spent.

What I don't do

  • WordPress sites or sites built with page builders
  • Template sites
  • Projects without a defined scope

If you need one of these, I'm not the right person, and I'll tell you on the first call.

What about budget?

I don't publish a price list: every project has a different scope. The contact form asks for an indicative budget. Tell me the budget and I'll tell you what fits inside it. If nothing sensible fits, I'll say so.
